Let the Growing Begin

Just a few weeks from the beginning of the third trimester and Malakai seems to be growing daily... which in turn makes me grow daily! It's definitely comical how much my belly has grown just over the past couple of weeks. It's just popped out there completely out of nowhere. I'm still managing to stay in regular jeans... me and maternity jeans just don't get along so well. Extra low rise jeans are the way to go!

As you can see, my favorite hoodie is just about to have to be retired for this winter. It's on the verge of being too short... and too tight... but with the high being 25 degrees today, I am trying to hang on to my winter wardrobe as long as I can!

Almost 6 months....

Change of Plans!

So...

The high tomorrow in Chicago is 21. Yes 21.

The high tomorrow in St. Louis is 38.

Compared to temperatures we've been having 38 sounds quite nice and warm. So, instead of suffering through downtown shopping (which also means outdoor shopping) in 21 degrees in Chicago, we are picking the lesser of two evils and heading to St. Louis for the weekend.

Seth get us a room an an amazing hotel and we are leaving here in the next few minutes.

St. Louis has plenty of malls. In Chicago it's more just walking around down town in and out of different stores. Being almost 6 months pregnant, it just does not seem worth it. (I'm glad my husband agrees!)

On a side note... Seth felt Malakai kick for the first time yesterday! I've felt him for about a month now, but yesterday he must have been a little more hyper than usual.

We will be in Beaumont the weekend of February 6 for our Baby Shower! Courtney is heading it up, so get a hold of her for details!

Congrats to all of my Beaumont loves on the amazing amount of snowfall! You guys got snow even before we did. We've had highs in the 20s all month... but now snow yet!
